Commercial Real Estate Appraisers

Our History

We are experienced commercial appraisers with significant exposure to rural properties, large timber tracts, and properties that are greatly influenced by the presence of jurisdictional wetlands. This is primarily the result of work assignments for estates in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton Counties and projects prepared for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Northwest Florida Water Management, and The Nature Conservancy.

Michael is currently listed on the Division of State Lands' Approved Appraiser List. For a number of years, we have prepared and reviewed appraisal documentation in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, Supplemental Appraisal Standards for Board of Trustees Land Acquisitions and Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions. We also seek assignments that could lead to litigation testimony and have experience with eminent domain properties. As a result, we have become very “research and documentation conscious.”

We have appraised property, or reviewed appraisals, in several conservation/preservation projects of the State and private entities. Notable projects include the Perdido Pitcher Plant Prairie, Sandy Point Buffer, Falling Waters, Dickerson Bay/Bald Point, Middle Chipola River, St Joe Bay Buffer, Garcon Ecosystem, Pinhook Swamp, Wacissa/Aucilla, Escribano Point, Tates Hell Profundus, Pinhook/Rayonier, Sweetwater/St. Joe, Wakulla Springs/St. Joe, Lake Wimico, Nokuse Plantation and East Bay. We have also completed several assignments for the Department of the Navy in Florida and Alabama.

We have appraised single family homes, duplexes, townhomes, condominiums, subdivisions, restaurants, mini-warehouses, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, shopping centers, office buildings, office condominiums and complexes, medical offices, apartments, motels/hotels, car washes, auto dealerships, retail structures, fast food properties, gas station/convenience food stores, special purpose properties such as churches, car washes, Lube-n-Go and amusement parks, auto garages, borrow pits, healthcare and assisted-living facilities, submerged land, conservation and utility easements, and leases.
